With our unique ECOSYN gas engine lubricants and our long term expertise, WCI has built the reputation as frontrunner in ester synthetic gas engine lubricants. Our lubricants are used successfully for the lubrication of natural gas, biogas and special gas fueled engines. 

The advantages of synthetic gas engine oils

ECOSYN synthetic gas engine lubricants have not only multiple technical advantages compared to mineral and other synthetic gas engine lubricants, but also proven economic advantages:

  • total cost of lubrication (€/MWh) up to 30% lower than mineral lubricants due to 2-5 times extended oil drain intervals and up to 50% lower oil consumption
  • cleaner engines due to less carbon and varnish build up resulting in less unscheduled maintenance and longer parts lifetime
  • very low knocking tendency: ECOSYN solved severe knocking problems on many different engines 
  • gas emission limits can be reached more easily with ECOSYN: e.g. no extra NOx gases are produced due to irregular combustion events
  • environmental benefits: 2-5 times less oil drains and significant less oil consumption resulting in less oil transport to and from the installation
